Desert Safari
From €33
The desert here is even emptier than around Hurghada or Sharm — the Eastern Desert stretches inland with almost no development, and a safari out into it is one of the easiest ways to see a side of Egypt that has nothing to do with the coast.
Most trips run by quad bike or 4x4 out to a Bedouin camp, where the pace slows down for sweet tea, a short camel ride if offered, and a chance to see how a semi-nomadic family actually lives out here — a genuinely different experience from a scripted 'show camp' closer to a big resort town.
Evening departures are the best value and usually get you back to your resort in time for dinner.
