Deep-Sea Fishing Trip

The continental drop-off comes closer to shore at Marsa Alam than at most other points on the Red Sea coast, which makes for genuinely good big-game fishing without a long run out. Charters typically head straight for deep water once clear of the reef, trolling for tuna and barracuda, with the occasional marlin or sailfish showing up depending on the season.

Most trips are catch-and-release for anything you don't plan to eat that night, and gear, bait and crew are all included. It's a good half-day option if you want something on the water that isn't diving or snorkeling.
