Try Scuba Diving (Discovery Course)

Hurghada has more dive centres per kilometre of coast than anywhere else in Egypt, which makes it a genuinely good place to try scuba for the first time even if you've never put your face in the water with a tank on. A discovery course starts with a short briefing and confined-water practice, then moves to a real dive to around 6-12 metres with a 1:2 or 1:4 instructor-to-guest ratio.

No certification or prior experience is required. If you take to it, most centres will credit the dive toward a full PADI or SSI Open Water certification if you decide to continue later in the trip.

Bring a swimsuit, a towel, and reef-safe sunscreen — everything else (mask, fins, wetsuit, tank) is provided.
