El Gouna Day Trip

El Gouna is only about 20 minutes north of Hurghada but feels like a different country — a master-planned town built across a series of islands and lagoons, with its own marina, canal-side cafés and a noticeably calmer, more design-conscious feel than the main resort strip.
Most day trips cover a walk around the marina (Abu Tig), a stop at a beach club or public beach, and free time to explore the town's small downtown area on foot or by tuk-tuk. Kitesurfers in particular make a beeline here — the lagoon conditions are some of the most reliable in Egypt.
It's an easy half-day if you're short on time, or a full day if you want to add lunch and a longer beach stop.
