Camel Trek to Ras Abu Galum

From €42

Ras Abu Galum is a protected stretch of coastline north of the Blue Hole with no road access at all — the only ways in are by camel, on foot, or by boat. This multi-day trek follows the coast by camel with Bedouin guides, camping overnight along the way, and ending at a small fishing settlement where a handful of Bedouin families still live largely as they have for generations.

The reef here is some of the healthiest and least-visited in the Dahab area precisely because of how hard it is to reach, and the sense of remoteness — mountains on one side, open water on the other, and no development in sight — is hard to find anywhere else on this coast.

This is a genuine expedition rather than a day tour, so come prepared for basic camping conditions and a real physical trek.
